The San Benito County Historical Society Presents "A Little Trivia About Oology" with Mark Paxton

Mark Paxton will talk about Oology (the dead practice of egg collection), and the local people who practiced it, and why it's valuable for scientific reference today. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 30th at 7:00 pm in the Dunne Memorial Park Clubhouse. Mark will begin with what an egg is, and why birds lay eggs. He will also talk about the variety of shapes and colors. Did you know owl eggs are white, so parent birds can spot them in the dark? Mark will also share an egg collection that belonged to the late Jack O'Donnell of Hollister.
