Civil War Days
September 17 - 18 - 19
Since 1977, the International Council of Museums has organized International Museum Day to raise awareness about the fact that, "Museums are an important means of cultural exchanges, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation, and peace among peoples." Although the day is May 18, 2021, we will celebrate all month long!
With that said, the Wapple House Museum will reopen, after a year of being closed due to COVID, on Saturday, May 1st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Join us for a trip down memory lane, and if you are new to the community, learn the history of our County and the people who settled here.
We will also be opening the Visitor Center at the Historical Park where you can learn more about our history.
All COVID restrictions will be followed and we will be prepared with lots of hand sanitizer, so get out of the house and enjoy the day discovering what's here in your own backyard.
AND DON'T FORGET---Our neighboring museums in Santa Cruz like the Pajaro Valley Historical Association housed in the Bockius-Orr House pictured at the left. For a complete list of museums, follow the link below.
